Our Body: The Universe Within, dubbed an "eye-opening and educational exhibit" that features actual human bodies, will return to Raleigh starting this weekend.
The exhibit, which stopped in Raleigh a decade ago, will open at Triangle Town Center in north Raleigh on Saturday for an extended run. It's scheduled to remain here until at least Feb. 28.

The exhibit, according to a news release, reveals the "inner workings of the human body by showcasing actual human bodies, anatomical displays, reproductions of historic anatomical artwork and more."
Yep. Actual bodies that are positioned and revealed in a way that allow people to get a look "under the skin." Specimens featured in the exhibit, according to the news release, have been preserved through a polymer impregnation process that replaces fluids with polymers that prevent decomposition.

The self-guided exhibit includes four touch specimens - a liver, brain, kidney and heart. It's designed for all ages. And families can check out online guides for families, middle schoolers and high school students.

Tickets are $17. Students, seniors, military personnel and family and kids ages five to 14 can attend for $15 each. Kids four and under are free. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online in advance.
It's open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday.
