Tired of wondering when the school bus is coming? Wake County Public School System now has an app for that.
Here Comes the Bus, according to the system's website, translates GPS data into an "easy to use customizable map that works on a computer, tablet or smartphone." With it, you can see where your child's bus is and how close it is to your stop.

You can sign up through the the website or download it to your smartphone or tablet. The app is available in both the App Store and Google Play.
You'll need a couple of numbers to sign up:
- Your student's Wake County schools ID number.
- Wake schools' district code, which is 67500.
One of my daughters rides the bus, so I downloaded the app. It was easy to sign up and it does just what it says - tracks the bus so I have a better idea of whether it's rolling on time.
