Pullen Park raises prices for train, carousel, kiddie boat rides

Beginning Tuesday, families will have to pay a little more to enjoy the attractions at Raleigh's Pullen Park.

The train, carousel and kiddie boats now cost $2 per rider. The last time prices were raised was in 2018, when the attractions increased from $1 to $1.50.

Pedal boat rentals will now cost $7 for 30 minutes instead of the former $6.

Older tickets that have already been purchased for all attractions will be honored.

According to the City of Raleigh, hours for the rides at Pullen Park are currently limited due to staffing needs. Families who wish to check amusement ride hours before visiting the park can call 919-996-6472 at 10:30 a.m. daily to hear the hours for the day.

Pullen Park, located at 408 Ashe Ave., hosted a job fair carnival in May to hire workers as young as 14 for the busy summer months but is still dealing with staffing shortages.

Pullen Park, over 130 years old, was the first public park in the state, and it's the fifth oldest operating amusement park in the country.
