A woman has died after being shot in Fayetteville on July 12.
According to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 500 block of Mammoth Drive for a child custody matter.

While on the way to the scene, deputies were notified that shots had been fired.
When deputies arrived, they found Barbara Mitchell Adair, 59, with a gunshot wound. She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where she died on Saturday.
On July 20, deputies arrested and charged 24-year-old Darren Lyndell Powell of Spring Lake and 24-year-old Hakeem Sincere Jessel Wilson of Fayetteville with first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Adair's death is the latest in a string of shootings in Fayetteville. In the past month, at least five shootings in the city have resulted in two deaths.
