The Durham Police Department is searching for a missing child Monday afternoon.

Police issued an Amber Alert for Paisley Grayson, who has been missing since Saturday.

Grayson is 4-years-old, white, female, standing approximately 3’, weighs 30 pounds, has red hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing white jean shorts and a plain white t-shirt.

Paisley is believed to be with her father, 37-year-old Mitchell Grayson. Police said Mitchell broke into a home on the 800 block of Angier Avenue, severely beat one of the child's family members and then took the child.

He is described as white, 5-feet-11-inches tall, 175 pounds, has brown hair, hazel eyes and was last seen wearing a gray hoodie with black work pants. He also has tattoos on his leg, back, chest and both arms.

According to police, Mitchell Grayson took Paisley in a gray 2000 Chevrolet Astro van with NC plate HFS7433 and writing on the back saying “Take a picture it will last longer.”

Police believe Paisley is being taken to Moravian Falls, North Carolina, or South Carolina.
