One man is dead and another is facing a murder charge after a shooting Friday morning in Goldsboro.
Goldsboro police said Joshua Faison died in the shooting on South Slocumb Street near 905 S. Slocumb Street near Wilmington Avenue. He was 22.

Officers responded around 8:04 a.m. to a report of a shooting. They found Faison suffering from gunshot wounds. Wayne County Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and pronounced Faison dead.
Goldsboro police's emergency response team arrested Darrian Louis around 10:28 a.m. Friday at a home on Hugh Street near Olivia Lane. Louis had barricaded himself inside the home.
Louis, 23, of Goldsboro is charged with the first-degree murder of Faison.
It's unclear if or how the two knew each other, and how Friday's shooting unfolded.
On Friday, Louis appeared before a magistrate and received no bond pending a first appearance in court. Authorities are holding Louis at the Wayne County Detention Center.
Sky 5 flew over the scene. Law enforcement officers were seen handcuffing Louis and escorting him to a car.
On Friday, Goldsboro resident Orlinda Horton stopped by a mom-and-pop hot dog store nearby the shooting. She said shootings don't shock her anymore.
"It's sad for parents, for the kids and their friends," Horton said. "I wish it were better."
Horton said she thinks of her own children and grandchildren who are growing up in the Goldsboro area.
"I try to teach them and their parents to do the right thing," Horton said. "We do the best we can. That's all we can do."
Gun violence activists like Francine Smith are working toward solutions to incidents like Friday. She said more action needs to be taken as the county level.
"I am devastated," Smith said. "It happens over and over and over again.
"We keep having these conversations over and over and over, and we keep having no changes."
