Person hit by car on Capital Blvd. hospitalized with serious injuries

A person was hit by a car on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh Tuesday night.

The accident was reported shortly before 8:30 p.m. near Buffaloe Road.

Authorities say the victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car did remain at the scene. All lanes were closed but have since reopened.
