A Raleigh man has been charged with attempted murder after a domestic incident Thursday afternoon.

Ronald Eugene Wright, 60, of Raleigh, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Around 4:13 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person with a gun in the 4200 block of Live Oak Road. Police were told that the man inside the home had a gun and the situation stemmed from a domestic dispute.

To ensure the safety of nearby residents, multiple officers and emergency responders were called to the scene, and a perimeter was established.

Commands were given for Wright to exit the house, and he complied. He was taken into custody around 5:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
