A vigil for Hamilton Mathia Woods, Jr. was held Sunday afternoon in Franklin County.
The vigil started at 3:30 p.m. at Mitchiner's Grove Baptist Church in Franklinton. Over 100 people attended the memorial.

"This was very important to the family, to the community, to see the number of people that were out here in support of the family," said senior pastor of Mitchiner's Grove, Rev. Melvin Jackson. "To make sure that justice takes place and is served for this family."
Woods was killed on Jan. 29 in the Kerigon Lane area of Youngsville.
In January, two people were arrested and charged for the murder of the 19-year-old. Two other people were also arrested at that time, also in connection to the murder of Woods.
Deputies said 18-year-old Gavin Lloyd Miller and 19-year-old Dillon Thomas Piper -- the two teens charged with second-degree murder -- went to Kerigon Lane that evening with Brooke Harper. She was apparently intent on getting into a fight with Autumn Futrell.
The trio arrived at the Kerigon Lane cul-de-sac with a loaded gun, according to prosecutors, and intended to use the weapon if necessary.
According to Miller's attorney, Jeffrey Cutler, when the trio arrived at Kerigon Lane, Futrell pulled Harper from the vehicle and "violently" assaulted her.
Cutler said Miller shot and killed Woods because he feared for the lives of Harper, himself and Piper.
A social media post involving the suspects was also discovered after their arrest. The photo includes a racist caption that references the KKK.
The Woods' family attorney Chance Lynch is calling for the SBI to investigate whether Woods' death was a hate crime.
Woods' family is calling for the maximum sentence for those involved in his death.
"It still doesn't feel real," said Woods' sister Destiny Cannady.
Cannady said she and her family can't move forward without closure.
"I want everyone who knows something to say something," Cannady said.
