Zebulon man charged with DWI and child abuse after crash on US 70 Business in Wake County, court documents show

A Zebulon man was arrested Monday after a crash on U.S. 70 Business in Wake County.

Hugh Lee Young, 30, has been charged with driving while impaired (DWI), misdemeanor child abuse and having an open container in the car. He also faces a misdemeanor charge for driving while his license was revoked due to a previous impairment violation.

In addition, Young was cited for failure to secure a passenger under 16 and failure to reduce speed.

Breathalyzer results indicated Young's blood alcohol content level was 0.20, according to court documents.

Court documents revealed that Young also has pending cases for DWI in Wake and Franklin counties.
