A resident of the 2800 block of Crest Street in Durham was shot while sleeping Friday.
Police said the woman, whose name they did not release, was taken to the hospital with injuries that don't appear to be life-threatening.

Others in the home reported hearing shots, but it was only hours later when the woman awoke that they called 911, police said. No one else was injured.

Officers did not say whether this shooting is related to another that happened across town hours earlier that left one man dead and two others injured.
