The man stabbed to death in Carrboro on Aug. 2 has been identified as Kenneth Michael Moseley, 50, of Durham.
Carrboro police launched an investigation after Moseley was stabbed around 9 p.m. at Town Commons at 301 W. Main Street.

Moseley was transported to UNC Hospital, where he later died.
Currently, the police department believes this is an isolated incident.

Violent crime is not common in the town of Carrboro, so a deadly stabbing like this one is rare.
In January, a 20-year-old Carrboro man was arrested after a deadly shooting in Chapel Hill.
Prior to that, the last shootings WRAL reported in Carrboro occurred in October and December of 2021.
